Make Cold Foam In A Blender

The fastest way to spruce up your cold brew, or other iced coffee drinks, is in a blender. You will need the following ingredients:

  • Blender of choice
  • 1 cup (0.24 l) of low-fat milk or 2% milk

To make the cold foam follow these instructions:

  1. Pour the milk into the blender.
  2. Place the lid on the blender.
  3. Start blending
  4. Blend until the milk or nonfat milk is at its desired volume
  5. Remove the milk from the blender and add it to your drink.

You can use skim milk, or full-fat milk, for any of these recipes listed.

Make Cold Foam With A Emulsifier (Handheld Blender)

Cold foam can be made with a simple handheld blender as well if that’s all you have. Here are the ingredients to make cold foam with a handheld blender:

  • Handheld mixer
  • Small bowl or mixer attachment to store the milk
  • 1/2 cup (0.12 l) of low-fat milk

The instructions to make the cold foam are similar to a regular blender:

  1. Pour the milk into the bowl.
  2. Submerge the blender blades completely
  3. Start blending
  4. Blend until the milk or nonfat milk is at its desired volume
  5. Remove the milk from the blender and add it to your drink.

This is a quick and convenient way to add cold foam to your iced beverage!

Make Cold Foam With A Milk Frother

If you make coffee on a regular basis, you probably have a milk frother at home ready to use. Did you know you can make cold foam with a milk frother?

First, you will want to see if your milk frother has a cold foam setting, if it does not you may want to invest in another milk frother.

Here are the instructions:

  1. Add your milk to the milk frother
  2. Turn on the milk frother
  3. Let the milk frother complete it’s process

Your coffee will be much more enticing after you realize how easy it is to make cold foam!

Make Cold Foam In A French Press

If you have a french press, you can use it for more than just coffee! Cold Foam is a great way to get more use out of your french press.

Here is what you’ll need:

  • A French press
  • 1/2 cup (0.12 l) of low-fat milk or 2% milk

The amount listed will make enough cold foam for two cups of iced coffee! If you have company over it will be the perfect way to serve them cold foam for their iced drinks.

Here are the instructions to make cold foam:

  1. Pour the milk into the blender
  2. Press the plunger down.
  3. Move the plunger up and down to add air.
  4. Repeat until the foamy milk is to your preference.

Make Cold Foam In A Jar!

Don’t have any fancy milk frothers, blenders, or other coffee accessories? That’s ok, as long as you have a container with a tight lid you can make cold foam at home!

What you’ll need:

  • Resealable jar of choice
  • 1/2 cup (0.12 l) of low-fat milk or 2% milk

Instructions:

  1. Pour the milk into the jar (we prefer mason jars)
  2. Seal the jar tightly with the lid
  3. Shake it vigorously until foam forms.
  4. Once you have a fluffy cold foam you are ready to use it!

You can even use the same jar for your iced coffee drink!
